Rating Appeals
Many businesses take no interest in the business rates they pay and may be paying far too much. Let us evaluate your business rates. Subject to our recommendations we can then submit a rating appeal on your behalf and potentially save you money.
Access Audits, Appraisals and Statements
Under the Disability Discrimination Acts 1995 and 2005 there are obligations for service providers, employers and schools (amongst others) not to discriminate against disabled people and to make ‘reasonable adjustments’. The legislation is complex and often it is difficult to ascertain what ‘reasonable adjustments’ means in each individual situation. We have a Chartered Surveyor who specialises in accessible environments and is a member of the National Register of Access Consultants. Before you spend thousands of pounds on alterations let us audit and report on your property and it’s environment. We also carry out design appraisals.
Under present legislation access statements are required for new houses and commercial developments at planning application stages and at submission of the Building Regulation Application. Ideally this should be a document that progresses from inception of the project through to handover of the building and in order to prevent costly mistakes we would recommend that an access consultant is included in the design and construction team. We could then take over all responsibility in this area.
Commercial Surveys
Whether the property you are buying is freehold or leasehold there are implications and potential liabilities. We can provide a survey tailored to your individual requirements to help you make the correct decisions and hopefully save you money or prevent you making a costly mistake.
